We offer major 和 minor programs in Human Services – covering Clinical Behavior Work, 创伤研究, 和 Fire 紧急 和 Response Administration. We also offer 研究生 level opportunities.

The 人类服务部 和 咨询 provides a foundation for students to learn how to help address social 和 economic issues in a community, while gaining knowledge of real world issues, 和 the tools required to problem-solve in an ever changing l和scape of social structures 和 how people operate within those systems.

The Human Services program is a gateway to a career in social-services, where students learn how to help their community access basic human needs 和 underst和 what it means to provide assistance, 和 access resources for those in need.

Master of Science in Clinical Behavioral Health in Addiction 咨询

The Master of Science in Clinical Behavioral Health program, with an emphasis in Addictions 咨询, prepares students to work in a variety of treatment 和 recovery settings. 学生将整合研究, 技能发展, education in treatment 和 recovery, 循证实践, 和 field work in treatment 和 recovery.

The program provides the coursework 和 clinical hours necessary to pursue the Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC). 毕业后, students will need to pass the State Jurisprudence Exam 和 the Master Addiction Counselor (MAC) Exam in order to qualify for the LAC. 在皇冠官网网站的课程结束后, students can also be eligible to apply for the Licensed Professional Counselor C和idate (LPCC) credentials.

A maximum of 64 credits can be transferred from a community college to 密歇根州立大学丹佛. Any additional human services coursework you take at CCD will not count towards the human service major at 密歇根州立大学丹佛, but will applied to the total number of credits required for degree completion. We encourage you to meet with an advisor in the MSU 人类服务部 to discuss your educational goals 和 plans early in your educational career.

Be aware that Human Services classes fill quickly, so you should apply 和 be prepared to register for classes early. Summer 和 Fall registration typically begin in March or April. Spring registration generally begins in late October.
