Dr. 拉里年代. 约翰逊,Ph值.D. is the former director and founder of the Summer 科学 Institute and the Center for Math, 科学, and Environmental Education, a math professor and a former dean of the Metropolitan State College of 丹佛’s School of Letters, 艺术与科学.
Dr. 约翰逊 began his career in 数学 at Western State College, where he earned his B.S. 1964年获学位. 他获得了M学位.S. 和Ph值.D. at the University of Wyoming. Dr. 约翰逊 came to Metropolitan State College in 1983 and was a Professor of 数学, served as Dean of the Former School of 科学 and 数学, and as Dean of the School of Letters, 艺术与科学. In 1994 he founded the Center for Math, 科学, and Environmental Education where he served as Director. Through the Center, Dr. 约翰逊 collaborated with 丹佛 Public Schools, The Colorado Alliance for 科学, The National 科学 Foundation, and Colorado State University to help improve math and science education at the K-12 level, and increase degrees for minority College students. Dr. 约翰逊 was with Metropolitan State University of 丹佛 for 23 years.
Dr. 约翰逊 was a native of Colorado and lived in Westminster, CO with his wife, Sandy 约翰逊. They were married for over 45 years and have three daughters, one son and seven grandchildren.
